Using Volunteer Connection
Volunteer Connection is VCNT’s online system to link your organization’s needs with willing volunteers in our community. Each member agency has their own membership page or ‘portal’ with a unique username and password. You will use Volunteer Connection to manage your account, update contact information, post and review volunteer opportunities, designate authorized shoppers for our Donated Goods stores, report hours for Community Service Restitution volunteers, make membership payments and more!”
Our online Volunteer Connection tool makes posting volunteer opportunities quick and easy! You can access Volunteer Connection 24/7 to post one-time or on-going volunteer needs. Responses from interested volunteers are sent directly to your agency
Steps to Post on Volunteer Connection

Log onto your account and select the tab that reads "Post Volunteer Opportunity." |

Select if this is a Project-Based (episodic/calendared special event) or an Ongoing Opportunity (a need your agency has year round). |

Fill out all requested information with as much detail as you can in the project description. The more details a volunteer has, the more likely they are to signup for the opportunity. Please include information on the tasks the volunteer will be responsible for, including the expected and available hours. If there is more than one time shift available, this is the spot to put it in. Also include if a background check or training is required.

Click the "Create" button located at the bottom of the right side of the screen. Your Volunteer Opportunity will be sent to the HandsOn Manager who will then activate it on the site within 1-2 business days. You may update your volunteer opportunities throughout the year by clicking the "View/Edit volunteer opportunity Listings" tab at the top of the screen. |

In order to post opportunities, you must have a valid Agency Username (E-mail Address) and Password. If you have not updated your Account, call or email Cathy Hurst at 214-826-6767 or churst@vcnt.org. If you have updated your information and have forgotten your password, click "Forgot My Password" located below the Login in Volunteer Connection. A new password will be emailed to you immediately.
