On February 16, approximately 500 guests joined us at the Hilton Anatole to present Bobby B. Lyle with our Lifetime Achievement Award at the Hearts of Texas Awards Luncheon.  

 

The room was filled with excitement as people listened attentively to our three Host Committee Co-Chairs: Charles Wyly, Jack Furst and Gerald Turner pay tribute to their longtime friend. Lynn McBee, our Hearts of Texas Luncheon Chair, also paid tribute to Dr. Lyle.

 

Mayor Tom Leppert joined our event and offered his own personal remarks regarding Bobby's philanthropic accomplishments. Mayor Leppert commented on the difference he has made while serving with various organizations and boards such as The Salvation Army, Texas Trees Foundation, SMU and the Trinity Trust.  

 

After our speakers, the audience viewed a special video prepared by the VCNT honoring Bobby, reflecting his personal life and the many accomplishments he has made over the years. Erle Nye, 2009 Lifetime Achievement recipient, presented the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award to Bobby who was extremely moved by the entire event.  It was a heartwarming and lovely event.
